More About Me...

Hi Everyone!!! Just thought I would take this time to introduce you to my family. My husband, Maynard, is a full-time student at a community college, with plans to transfer to a 4 year college and receive a teaching degree. I'm so proud of him, as he is 51 years old...a huge step for him. I'm so excited to see what's in store for him and for our future.

We have six children between us; Douglas (mine) is 20 yrs., James(his) is 20 yrs., Daniel(mine) is 19 yrs.(yes, him and Douglas were 13 months apart-surprise! It was like having twins), Megan(mine) is 17 yrs., Katelyn(ours) is 12 yrs., and Maynard, Jr.(ours)is 9 yrs.

Myself, I'm a stay at home mom...it's not always easy...you have to make a few sacrifices (for lack of a better term), but it's SOOOOO worth it!!!

We have had so many fun memories that all of us will hold forever in our hearts. God has been so good to us and we count our blessings everyday...even when we don't feel like it...lol.

A little more about us....

Douglas, has been in the Air Force for 2 years now and he loves it! He's a weatherman and has plans on other schooling while he's in. James has been cooking at a popular pizza parlor for almost 3 years, and he really loves what he's doing(maybe he'll open up his own restaurant someday). Daniel and Megan are both attending college with my husband; they also plan on transferring to a 4 year college. Daniel is thinking of teaching math and music...he's very gifted in both, while Megan is seriously called to be a Music Pastor and Songwriter(she sings, too!...beautifully, I might add). Daniel also writes instrumental music, and is a phenomenal bass player! Katelyn is talking of being a Kindergarten teacher...but she's young and that could change. Whatever God calls her to, I'm sure she will do with all her heart! Maynard, Jr., talks of alot of things he wants to do; he loves music ( all of our children do) and loves Jesus

I hope this helps whoever reads this, understand that we are an average family ( I think?) and normal (whatever that is?). We have a "blended" family, this is true, but Maynard and I think we have all "blended" quite nicely actually. Despite all the 'statistics' regarding 'these kinds' of families, the Lord has brought us through. We've had our share of bumps (sometimes collisions) on the road, but God has definitely given us ALOT of grace, patience, understanding, and LOVE!!!

More to come................
